Felllow Sergeants please let's stop with the fighting. One can say the 100 had an agenda or the 9 themselves who sued, either way, there is for the first time, in months, common ground where everyone wins. Personally speaking, i'm at a 68. If i make it it would be because the 9 gave it their best and for that i am greatful. However, the 100 even agreeing to this alleviates the suit going further, possibly even having it go south. So for that, i am also greatful to them.
In pure fairness, all Sergewnts who would make it should pitch in to both parties. Why?? Because if it goes through, they are the ones responsible for our career moves and ehancement. Very small price to pay to be able to earn $14,000 more and a chance to study for Captain.
A lot of people didn't win because of the slimy 9's false allegations of cheating on the original test day. A lot of people should've been promoted already and they weren't because of the false allegations. I would have supported the attempt from the beginning of all they went after was problems with the NOE. So I will forever refer to them as the slimy 9.
Peace may be possible. The nine never had malicious intent against the 164 (though we were collateral damage in their quest for victory), and those who intervened had no intention of preventing any questions from being changed, only in protecting their own hard earned promotions.
Hell, I'm so (preemptively) happy right now I can't even be mad at the makeup testers. Congrats to everyone who passed fair and square and will be promoted.
Unfortunately it is hard to prove that someone cheated. The couple they did catch, got caught because they had drill scheduled that weekend and were not there. I am not dumb, I understand every single one of the 40 make-ups had an advantange, but not all 40 purposely scheduled the make-up. However, it is unfair to call them all cheaters and assume they all seeked out answers. Lets not forget the 9 extra weeks and 4 extra months some of them had to study. Couple that with 1/2 the sgts in the PCT bitching daily "I can't believe that asked all those op orders!"..."what Did u put for the active shooter question I got it wrong".. In a way I judge the make-ups that failed , not the ones who passed. At any rate I am glad (albeit premature at this point) that it looks like promtions are going to start again and that everyone will think twice before they scam. To quote sixmonth wonder "Don't hate the player, Hate the game."
Lol knowing the City it will probably take another 90 days. The judge has to set a 30 day timetable to get it done and speed the process up. Start promoting!
