So far so good. I've been reading the rising star essential guide once, then I'll do the same section a few days later followed by the questions. Nice and slow with the questions. I make sure I understand it before I move on. I know this is a written test and not an oral one, but I seem to know the material better than everyone in my squad.

That's how it goes. But remember, you have a few more months to go still. If you knew it all now then you'd have a lot of free time on your hands between now and October.
After you do the practice questions do them again and make sure your score increases. Keep doing them until you get 100% (or at least very close) on all of your packets. Other than that, make flash cards of anything you think is important or confusing.
