can ANY vets on here or friends know of any vets who are waiting for their letters that originally failed??? pls post and state your score so we know who's expecting letters!
If someone used their vet points on their sergeant exam would they get the letter for this exam?
Yes. If they thought they were going to be slick and tried to claim Veteran's status not knowing that DCAS will verify it down the road. It happened to a very close co-worker. He is one of the original elite 128 and had already used his points for the Sgt's test. When he received his letter a few months ago, he went down to DCAS to prove his Vet. status -again. Needless to say, he got a letter a few weeks later saying he already used his vet's points.
So, the short answer to your question is Yes if they checked off "claim vet's points" on the filing applications.

I was told from two seperate ppl who have nothing to do w the forum or each other (that know of this process) that vujanov could not articulate 5 changes on questions hence why I use 5. In all reality. Yes you are right 0 to 19...but to have 0 to 5 changes you would be looking at announcement of another test right after release of this list. To add..I believe 5 to 8 questions could be articulated for a decent protest. That's just me tho..some ppl articulated more then that and some less..so yes 0 to 19! We have the same info as we did in October lol
I'm not military and I think it's ridiculous that veteran points can only be used once. They take away the tours in Iraq and Afghanistan after you get promoted once?
Back in the day you would get city residency points for the entry exam and all the promotion tests too. A law suit put a stop to that. I think that only stopped about 10-12 years ago.

I'm fairly certain the jan 2006 sgt exam is when all that changed. It was the first test in which the 70 passing grade was instituted and no residency points were given. It was the first of the "small" lists, only like 630.

Wow I thought it was a few years prior. 2006 was my test. It was the 1st 70 rule exam and the 1st where the 4yr stretch was in effect. It was a pretty crappy situation all around. The test itself was very fair.
Are you sure about the city points? I didn't think we had them for 2006 but I knew it was close to that. That's why I went with 10-12 yrs back. I can't remember to tell you the truth.

Really? Bc that was my test and I was so god damn close to a 70 I didn't think there was any way residency points could have been figured in. You're prob correct though because I'm often wrong as evidenced by this damn test.
A lot of military people I know along with myself wont post our scores or say what we got due to the high number of people that think we are all scammers. It's always stated if you passed the exam you must have the answers but if they failed a person hears how could you've failed when all the military gets the answer. Hopefully more people will post but good luck!

I see your point. Nobody will believe anyone who claims they took the makeup on the blind. That's in large part because many of the people who claim they did are full of ****. Let's not kid ourselves. However, if you truly did take it on the blind and failed, now not only do you deal with failing but you get your chops busted for blowing a test you had the answers to. It's yet another reason it has to change. The way the make up system is currently set up cheating is literally encouraged and rewarded while people with legitimate accommodation needs who play by the rules are reviled and punished.
Not everyone who uses military points took a makeup exam. Most people who get military points aren't active duty so they can't do the makeup exam and can't be accused of scamming.
An active duty guy would be stupid not to schedule his drill around the time of the test. Don't hate the player, hate the game, if we could get away with BS like that we would. Like DOA said, they have to change the system, you're not going to convince active duty guys to pass up on seizing an opportunity to legally cheat the system.
