No class going in until the last guy is eligible on 2013 list. And that class will finish the list. No mixing from 2014 is what I'm told.

 very true information. Oddly enough, when the 2012 Captain's list was at it's tail end (maybe 6 or 7 left), they brought in those final 6 or 7 along with 3 or 4 from the 2013 list in regards to the mentoring program. The 3 or 4 from the 2013 list did the whole 2 week mentoring program and then the job decided they didn't want to promote from 2 different lists. Those 3 or 4 were sent back to their commands and were promoted with the first group from the 2013 list. Was very odd.

So I guess it's safe to say it'll take around 15 months to exhaust the 2013 list of 60+ names.  So I guess the average is around 50 captains a year.  Do any of you guys in the know see this trend sticking around or anticipate faster or slower movement For us on the 2014 list?

That's an average of 1 captains class every 4 months...it's gonna be worse than watching paint dry

I'm in the fifties, I figure I need six total classes. I'm really not expecting to be promoted until sometime around December '16

bigcity, I think you need 4 classes the most. You have to consider passovers. I doubt everyone's got their degree.

There are 7 being called from the old list. They're waiting for approval to pull 10 from the new. Hopefully it will come in time for this promotion.
