There is no official date for the protest review session. The back of the green form says, in summay, that requests to attend the review session are to be postmarked no later than one week following the regular test date (i.e., must be sent postmarked by October 26, 2013). It continues to say that if you do not receive your appontment letter to the protest within 4 1/2 weeks from the date of the regular test then you must appear in person at the address given. Furthermore, it states that the appointment letters are mailed "about 10 days before the date of the PRS" (really professional wording of that important fact DCAS). This leads me to believe that the Protest Review Session will be held late November. Between 6-7 weeks following the date of the actual test. Plan on it probably being the week of Thanksgiving - just MY opinion.

ok people what about the force figure question which is number 4 on the answer key...

from what i caught there were four things to look for

1. Dont count the ICO OR THE PLT CMDER (PLT CMDER started at 1100)
2. Dont count limited or restricted
3. Dont count the Detail people
4. Include the cop doing a court tour with a new arrest.

My total was 41... answer being A

Seems like a lot of people had mixed emotions on that question. Think it was question #4 and if u look at the spreadsheet A,C and D are heavy favorites. Think it went in numerical also. I choose A= 41.

One of the questions has the TS taking a CCRB report and asks what part of the forms are to be filled out. I was looking for an answer of " none of the above " but it wasn't an option. I feel that question should be tossed since the TS can never take a ccrb complaint and must forward it to the Desk

That's exactly what I was thinking. That question threw me completely off. I was like wtf.. TS operator never takes a ccrb. But I bet that will conveniently be one of the "research" questions lol

I hated that stupid jury duty question. I looked into that procedure PG 211-21 and found out you notify the ICO if it was 7 days from the jury duty. Didn't realize we can keep the fee. I didn't do that when I had jury duty. The cims question was nypd for water/ice rescue and the other cims had something to do with life safety operations which I think was FDNY because they are also in charge of mass decontamination. Which question was the t/s one with ccrb so we can all protest that one. The barricaded edp 216-05 turns into a hostage barricaded and we then comply with PG 212-38 and the patrol supervisor ensures that HNT is coming thru communications because the umos is already supposed to notify taru, hnt, esu. Also in the procedure central automatically notifies patrol supervisor and esu. Also the vehicle pursuit was PG 212-39 and the primary and supervisor can ask for assistance if they cannot safely apprehend the suspects.

NYPD for water rescue was definitely right. I don't remember what the other CIMS question was but I do recall thinking it was a ground ball also.

Someone at work mentioned that to me but when I went back to check they were referring to the process server question where the DO doesn't accept it and sends the server to new pct. I know I got that one wrong. I'm just trying to gather as much info before the protest session as possible.

In my opinion the armed EDP was isolated and contained and never went into Hostage/Barricaded mode. I noticed he only spoke Russian so I went with 216-05 and asked for the help of a translator . But I think it could go both ways.

what did you guys put for the question about when the monthly reports are due? I thought it was a ground ball, till someone at work mentioned to me that they gave us a date of October ,making it when the quarterly reports are due.. I put the 2nd for the cop, 5th for the Sgt to LT... I think the right answer might have been, sgt to lt on the 7th since it was the month the quarterly is due..

Yea but the armed EDP, one of the choices was P/S request HNT through communications which is the very first step in the procedure as you can see Romeo. Because EDP is very similar to hostage barricaded and that's one of the things that the umos requests but he P/S ensures. I think that is also a great protest question since both answers do seem right. Let's remember these questions guys and create a list for all of us to protest individually but still with strength in numbers. Jay i don't think they asked for the quarter but that could be a good question to review when you go.

jdawg, that's what I said, until I read the procedure.. 205-57 (notes- under step 14) it basically says that they are due to the LT by the 5th, but in the months of Jan,April,July, and OCT, the quarterly review will be done. Im positive it didn't say "quarterly report" on the test, but its written in the PG as if in those month, it will automatically be the quarterly, and as a SGT in OCT, you will automatically do the quarterly report.

The answer to the second CIMS question was A , it included "life safety operation", that's the only thing you had to see to get the answer.

Yes manhands I picked that choice as well. Jay, if it didn't ask for the quarter, then they were looking for the regular month which is the 2nd to the sgt and the 5th to the LPC/SOL. But check that question out for the review because I will certainly re analyze that one.

The question said according to 202-17 patrol supervisor and 202-21 police officer NOT 205-57

211-21 has nothing to do with Jury Duty....205-26 is Jury Duty and I don't know where you get the 7 days thing from because it says NOTHING about 7 days and the ICO.....Also in the CCRB question YOU WERE the T/S operator and the correct answer was to pass the complaint to the Desk Officer

Did anyone catch on the last question of the In-Basket with the charges on the 61? I put Assault 2 because the victim was 65 and the perp was 54. It makes it Assault 2 when the perp is 10 or more years younger than the victim who is 65 or older.
