Just wanted to say how much the key helped me score so well on this test. After comparing my answer key i ended up with an 89. 94 with longevity. I strictly read the weekly packets as well as the crams which had to net me 15 points alone in last week of studying. In the beginning i wasnt so sure whether fast track or key would be the better choice, but after hearing some bad stories about fast track i made my decision. I think itll be my choice for Lt's exam as well
Same here, only did key packets never touched PG and scored in the 90s. Very good material, precise and breaks down info as it's done in a college textbook, anyone looking for a future promotion school, I would highly recommend the key. Also, I would like to thank everyone who put up an answer key on this website, cry, 20, etc. Make everyones life alittle easier for past 5 weeks.

I thought the Key was good, I'll be going back to them for the LT exam. Have friends that swear by Fast Track too (one who made a 94) so I think any school helps if you use it the right way and study a lot.
Yea the key was the best. Also scored in the 90s but I believe this test will be the last of it's kind. They are probably going to change future sgts test to something similar to the 2011 lt test. And it's really hard to teach situational questions.
Yeah Slate got in the 90's, hes also one of my friends. So everything he is saying is true. Never touched anything but the packets. No need to. Key instructors tell you to read the PG to Cover themselves because if they don't and by some chance you fail you're going to blame them but there material had 100% of everything on the test. I'm sorry for what I'm about to say but Fast Track seriously sucks. You have certain instructors who are known to write bad questions and teach wrong info in the class. The material also tends to have misinformation in it. Sorry. I really can not see paying for something that's possibly flawed. Forget that. I'll never use any class but the key. I actually strongly disagree Cry. I think the last LT test was the last of its kind and will have many throw outs similar to the 2010 Capt test that had 15 throw outs. It was an extremely poorly written test and you can not expect people to study a Police Science book written in the 70's to possibly answer a question.

We'll see what happens, I do agree that a lot of the LT Exam is going to be thrown out. There is no reliable reference to study from. If they want to do tests like that they need a book that we can study from so we know what to expect.
same here the key packages and i never sat on a class except for 1 in basket..i just picked up the packages and went home i never listen to a single cd,and my patrol guide is still wrap up in the plastic lol...and it is my 1st time

Gots this is my 1st attempt at the test but 2nd time studying.
In 2009 I studied half way through and burned myself out. This time I paced myself and paid for The Key and Rising Star. Never sat thru a class. I know it sounds like a bull**** excuse but it was mostly due to the seating. If it were held at a university lecture hall I could do that. Those circa 1983 catholic school seats for 13 year olds killed my back.
I did the Key this was my second time taking the test and I did the Fastrack the 1st time. I didnt like they way they jumped around, they rush the weeks material so they can charge you for extra cram classes. The only thing I regret was reading the patrol guide 1x it was awaste of time because the key paqckets were on the money. I got an 83 but I believe If I wouldve just read the handouts I wouldve gotten a 90+.
For the 09 exam my good buddy just hit the packets and got an 84... I did the key and went to the thursday night class regularly I also read the guide and did riskling star questions and ended up with an 86... different strokes for different folks but imma do the key again hopefully bartoszeck is still with them for the lt exam
