If promotions are the last Friday of the month, and BMOC is 4 weeks, then a class would go in Jan 5. Notifications have been the Wed or Thur prior to the start of BMOC, so that would be New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. There has to be a class going in January in order to kill the list for exam 6513. As for the new list, I don't know how many, if any would go in. I'm not sure if they would combine a class with two different lists. I don't have any inside info like some other people, just trying to use some common sense. I seriously doubt the city's budget issues would affect promotions.
Sorry but eventually the budget will effect promotions. If they slow down classes coming in, then they need less sgts to supervise less cops and so on with lts. The sgts and lts classes may slow down.
Spoke with someone at Leadership Developement at the academy, there will be a Sgt class in January. And it will only be with old Sgt Exam and not the 7508. Thats all I know. And he stated that there will be a promotion freeze sometime soon after that since they cancelled the January class and most likely the July academy class. But he said that he doubts it will be a year, it will freeze for a few months at least.
Nickie323 they are not skipping over those that were passed on 7508 they are going back to the 22 on 6513 which come first anyway. They dont have to put both in. I guess you were skipped.
well some of us where told we where being re carb'd in feb for march classes.this may actually be good news .this may force them to promote everyone that there holding up .
im sorry maybe i didnt clarify .the people being skipped because of current hold ups .basicly being messed with by 1pp .people that have no hold ups i dont mean jammed up or modified are any of they going in.? i mean if you give credence to rumors and the jan class is the last class for a while and the list dies in march .wouldnt they have to promote the ones there holding onto or they will die on the list if the next class goes in after march ?

That would be a real ****ty rumor if the Jan class is small and then killing the list in March. If that happens, there are going to be ALOT of ANGRY cops....including me!
well im just putting down what i hear.i guess time will tell.im hoping this is good news . the powers that be know the truth on how many there putting in and when.so i would imagine that if there is going to be a jan class and then nothing for say 4 or 5 months .the new list is in good shape nothing to worry about and the ones that are taking the test in feb really have nothing to worry about.then the question comes up what to do with the older list? there are only about 30 or so left.22 i think hit 5 years on jan 20th the rest are being help up for other reason not because of being jammed up but for nothing more then the past .the puzzle palace will either have to promote them in jan or run the risk of letting them die on the list when the list dies in march.you do know thats when the list dies ? finest message on that ,it came out a while ago.
ok maybe you didnt understand what ive said .im talking about things with facts as they are right now .the list has been set to expire in march peiod untill i see a finest message extending .so with facts in hand what will no bmoc classes mean for everyone on the old list ? promotion or getting screwed.

Just heard on the news that Bloomturds budget proposal to be announced later today, WILL include a January academy class. That will hopefully speed things up.
